Job Responsibility:

  • Provide leadership for Privacy initiatives and Data Governance
  • Manage relationship with business discipline and Legal teams to ensure IT processes, initiatives, and investment maintain company compliance with global and emerging privacy regulations
  • Contribute to the integration and advancement of Marriott’s modernization & digital transformation efforts
  • Partners with business and Legal to define and manage an Enterprise Privacy and Data Governance model and processes to promote and enforce Privacy by Design principles
  • Partners with Security to define changes in processes to support Data Governance
  • Lead the business planning for Privacy initiatives with an understanding of priorities and the ability to clearly articulate IT capabilities
  • Manage large-scale functional and cross-functional initiatives that require coordination across business discipline and IT to deliver incremental value against a multi-year roadmap

Requirements:

  • 7+ years’ relevant work experience
  • 5 years’ experience in policy and data driven programs or privacy engineering technology projects
  • Ability to effectively communicate with executive and delivery teams
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently and with others
  • Demonstrated ability to resolve conflicts constructively, drive direction and focus while having limited information
  • Managing relationships with business customers, IT organizations and external service providers
  • Ability to assess customer/client needs, creatively approach solutions, and decide and influence appropriate courses of action
  • Converting business needs into technology requirements and working within IT to manage project executions
  • Ability to understand and drive towards the strategic goals as well as dive into details, including doing research and complex analysis
  • Working with data driven initiatives, governance, or complex technology projects that touch multiple systems
  • Very strong technically with experience manipulating data across diverse platforms and technologies
  • Ability to dissect vague requests from non-technical stakeholders into clear actionable tasks and outcomes
  • Ability to converse in technical terms with engineering teams as well as in non-technical speak that business can understand
  • 3+ years working with cross functional team analysts, project managers, and product owners
