Job Description:

Director role providing risk management for Prime Financing, FX Prime Services, Derivatives Clearing Services and Repo businesses at HSBC, managing client exposure, setting margin levels, and ensuring risk stays within mandated limits.

Job Responsibility:

Provide first line of defence risk management for Prime Financing, FX Prime Services, Derivatives Clearing Services and Repo businesses
Manage firm's exposure to clients by setting appropriate margin levels
Control amount of financing provided
Negotiate strong risk terms with clients including term financing arrangements
Set appropriate client-facing limits
Proactively monitor risk within portfolio
Ensure business risk stays within Prime Financing, FX Prime, DCS and Repo market risk mandates and applicable credit limits
Implement and/or manage on-going risk management framework across supported assets/products

Requirements:

Markets background and detailed understanding of how to measure and manage the market risk of derivatives contracts across all asset classes
Strong understanding of counterparty risk and hedge funds with hands-on experience managing client default situations
Strong communication skills and ability to manage relationships effectively with range of different stakeholders
Able to manage time and balance multiple priorities effectively
Experience with managing implementation of new risk management systems, risk methodologies, processes and governance
Experience with managing people
Licenses Series SIE, 7 and 63
Legally authorized to work in the U.S.
