NAPA Auto Parts is seeking a seasoned and results-driven Director to lead and oversee the Pricing Analytics team. As the Director, you will be responsible for guiding and managing a team of Senior Pricing Analysts and Data Scientists, driving pricing strategies, and ensuring the delivery of actionable insights. Your leadership and expertise will play a critical role in shaping the company's pricing decisions, optimizing profitability, and maintaining competitiveness in the automotive parts industry.

Job Responsibility:

  • Lead, mentor, and manage a team of Senior Pricing Analysts and Data Scientists, fostering a collaborative and high-performing team environment
  • Develop and execute pricing strategies in alignment with business objectives, market dynamics, and customer value propositions
  • Oversee the design and implementation of advanced pricing models and methodologies in pricing software, ensuring accurate reflection of market conditions and cost structures
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with Category, Procurement, and IT to gather data and insights for informed pricing decisions
  • Guide the team in conducting comprehensive pricing analysis, leveraging BI tools, Microsoft Excel, SQL, and Python to derive actionable insights
  • Review and analyze pricing performance metrics, market trends, and competitive landscapes to identify opportunities and risks
  • Provide strategic recommendations to executive leadership based on data-driven insights and market intelligence
  • Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of pricing strategies and initiatives, making adjustments as needed to drive optimal outcomes
  • Develop and present regular reports and presentations on pricing strategy and performance to senior leadership
  • Stay current with industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices in pricing and data analysis
  • Collaborate with pricing leadership and technology teams to optimize the utilization of pricing software tools, such as PriceFX or PROS
  • Cultivate relationships with key stakeholders and represent the Pricing Analytics team in cross-functional meetings and discussions

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Economics, Finance, or a related field
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in pricing analysis or related roles, with at least 2 years in a leadership or management capacity
  • Strong leadership skills with a proven track record of managing and developing high-performing teams
  • Proficiency in BI tools, Microsoft Excel, SQL, and Python for data analysis and visualization
  • Knowledge of pricing software such as PROS or PriceFX is an advantage
  • Exceptional analytical and strategic thinking abilities, with the capacity to translate data into actionable insights
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills, capable of conveying complex concepts to diverse audiences
  • Detail-oriented mindset with a strong focus on accuracy and precision
  • Demonstrated ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and influence decision-making
  • Self-motivated, proactive, and adaptable to evolving business needs and market conditions
