Pfizer's Oncology portfolio has expanded to over 20 products. With this growing portfolio, it is crucial to develop holistic strategies that align with individual brand needs and priorities. We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Director of Oncology Portfolio Strategy to join our team. In this role, you will lead strategic planning for key initiatives within the oncology portfolio, ensuring alignment with overall business objectives. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive the development and implementation of innovative strategies that enhance our market position and deliver value to patients. This role involves working with oncology business leaders to shape, develop, and execute strategies that will advance and grow Pfizer’s Oncology business.
Job Responsibility:
Develop and execute comprehensive portfolio strategies that impact multiple brands within the oncology umbrella, driving strategic alignment and seamless execution
Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including marketing, sales, organized accounts teams, and data analytics, to ensure alignment and successful execution of portfolio strategies
Monitor and analyze market trends, competitive landscape, and emerging technologies to inform strategic decision-making
Prepare and present strategic plans, business cases, and performance reports to senior leadership
Partner with BU leaders to develop business strategies. Identify key strategic imperatives and capabilities required to achieve these imperatives
Contribute to the completion of a strategy action plan that manages the execution of the strategies
Lead a portfolio of projects that provide insight and direction for key strategic levers such as market development, customer needs assessment, competitive advantage, and market or product prioritization
Provide perspective on the potential impact of external market signals that could affect future business performance
Develop deep expertise in market dynamics to identify trends, assess opportunities, and guide strategic direction
Understand the priorities of the triads and/or corporate functional leads to represent business needs and the status of opportunity evaluations
Develop external relationships that provide perspective on the diverse ecosystem outside of Pfizer as it relates to the areas of the business you support.
Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree required
MBA preferred
Minimum 8+ years of relevant healthcare experience required, including experience working in or with commercial functions involving strategy development and/or strategic initiatives (e.g., marketing, commercial development, market access & pricing, etc.)
Proven track record of strong performance, teamwork, creativity, and the ability to collaborate with colleagues from multiple functional areas
Strong execution and project management skills, with the ability to work proactively and under tight timelines
Strong strategic and analytical thinking abilities
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Ability to manage and prioritize multiple activities
Candidate demonstrates a breadth of diverse leadership experiences and capabilities including: the ability to influence and collaborate with peers, develop and coach others, oversee and guide the work of other colleagues to achieve meaningful outcomes and create business impact.
