Perioperative Services Nursing Director. As part of the Dignity Health network, Mercy San Juan Medical Center is dedicated to delivering high quality, compassionate care and access to Carmichael, CA and nearby communities. We are seeking a dynamic Nursing Director to guide our well rounded management team and provide expert clinical guidance and coordinate patient care quality initiatives. Mercy San Juan Medical Center is a 370-bed Level 2 Trauma medical facility. Our Surgical Services includes 10 main operating rooms and 1 cardiac operating room, with a volume of approximately 650 cases monthly. We offer a broad range of surgical services. Additionally, Mercy San Juan is a tertiary receiving center for Northern California offering advanced Stroke, Trauma, NICU and Surgical Services.
Job Responsibility:
Strategically plan, design, implement, and maintain patient care programs, policies, and management systems across assigned departments and campus
Lead the integration of services to ensure patient-centered care, drive quality and cost-effective improvements
Serve as a role model for ethical management
Maintain direct operational and matrix management responsibility for all nursing care areas on assigned campus
Build strong relationships with physicians, employees, and community stakeholders
Advise medical staff, department heads, and administrators in matters related to nursing service and strategies
Interpret policies and objectives of nursing service to staff and community groups
Monitor the operations of the nursing staff and ensure compliance with regulations on organizational and governmental standards and practices
Schedule staff and conduct employee performance reviews
Requirements:
Bachelor's Degree in Nursing (e.g. BSN) or equivalent education and experience AND Master's degree in nursing or other-related fields (e.g., MSN/MBA/MHA)
Minimum of five (5) years related nursing experience AND three (3) years of nurse leadership experience
