Job Description

People Analytics at Microsoft sits at the intersection of business strategy, workforce intelligence, and executive decision-making. As part of Microsoft's People organization, the People Analytics team partners with senior HR and business leaders to translate workforce data into decision-ready insights that shape strategy, guide action, and enable measurable business outcomes. Microsoft Commercial Business (MCB) is the engine that brings Microsoft's cloud, AI, and enterprise solutions to customers worldwide. Responsible for driving commercial revenue and long‑term customer relationships across organizations of all sizes, MCB is at the center of Microsoft's growth strategy—translating innovation in Azure, Microsoft 365, Dynamics, and Copilot into real‑world business value. The People Analytics Director for Microsoft Commercial Business will serve as the strategic analytics and advisory partner to the MCB HR Leadership Team, translating workforce priorities into executive‑ready data and insights that inform strategic decisions, drive measurable outcomes, and shape how MCB HRLT engages with workforce data. In this role, you will lead a team that connects business strategy to People Analytics by shaping demand, framing the right business questions with stakeholders, prioritizing the highest‑impact work, and delivering decision‑ready analyses that guide action and enable outcomes related to business performance, organizational health, and growth. You will apply a wide range of analytical tools and techniques to create data-driven narratives and presentations, supporting programs, events, and leadership forums. You and your team will track external workforce and industry trends, compare them to internal data, and communicate relevant findings to stakeholders to guide strategic decisions and enhance organizational agility. Ultimately, in this role you will support some of Microsoft's most complex and consequential decisions, where workforce strategy directly influences customer impact, execution at scale, and sustained growth.

  • Lead and develop a high-performing global analytics team, applying Microsoft's model-coach-care framework to grow team capability, prioritize high-impact work, and build a culture of rigor and innovation
  • Act as a trusted advisor on HR data governance, privacy, and ethical use, modeling the highest standards of compliance and stewardship
