AMD is seeking a director to build and scale our Data Center & Power Partnerships ecosystem, enabling accelerated deployment of AI and Data Center infrastructure globally. This leader will drive strategic partnerships across data center operators, power, and energy providers, Hyperscalers, and infrastructure investors. The role is central to ensuring AMD has the capacity, power access, and ecosystem alignment needed to support the rapid growth of AI compute. You will collaborate closely with AMD’s AI, Data Center, GPU, Platform, and Corporate Strategy organizations, shaping how AMD expands, scales, and partners across the global infrastructure landscape.
Job Responsibility:
Build, maintain, and manage a robust pipeline of data center, power, and infrastructure partnerships to support AMD’s long‑term AI and DC strategy
Conduct detailed analyses on global cloud expansion, data center capacity constraints, power availability, sovereign AI initiatives, and infrastructure investment programs
Develop business cases, financial models, deal structures, and risk assessments to support executive decision-making
Lead cross‑functional execution with Finance, Legal, Engineering, Product, and BU teams from opportunity identification through negotiation and closure
Represent AMD in partner-facing discussions, industry forums, and infrastructure-focused engagements
Build and maintain executive‑level relationships with Hyperscalers, power developers, infrastructure investors, and government/policy organizations
Requirements:
B.S. degree in engineering, Finance, Business, or related field required
MBA preferred
Strategically minded with deep understanding of data center infrastructure, power systems, cloud ecosystems, or large‑scale infrastructure partnership models
Exceptional problem‑solving abilities, able to synthesize technical, economic, and market factors into clear strategic recommendations
Comfortably influencing senior leaders internally and externally
Strategy, investment banking, management consulting, corporate development, or infrastructure-related partnerships
Experience with large‑scale deal structuring, financial modeling, and partnership negotiation
Strong understanding of cloud, data center, or power/energy markets a strong plus
