Job Description

The town of Randolph seeks a Director of Veterans Services. This position supports both the Towns of Milton and Randolph. The Director of Veterans Services manages and administers all aspects of the Randolph Veterans Services Department and serves as the Veterans Services Officer for the shared Veterans Services District of Randolph and Milton, with Randolph being the primary job location, services hub and supervisory authority for the position. The position provides direct services, benefits administration, programming, outreach and advocacy for veterans and their families throughout the shared District, ensuring compliance with Massachusetts General Laws (MGL) Chapter 115, fostering community engagement, organizing veterans’ ceremonies and events, and providing strategic planning for programming and services in Randolph and Milton. Job Responsibility

  • Manage and administer all aspects of the Randolph Veterans Services Department
  • serve as the Veterans Services Officer for the shared Veterans Services District of Randolph and Milton

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in public administration, social work, or a related field
  • experience with case management, benefits administration and outreach
  • experience organizing large-scale events and coordinating with community organizations
  • must be a veteran
  • must possess any accreditations required by law
  • must possess a valid Massachusetts Class D driver’s license
  • have access to reliable transportation for travel between towns and for outreach efforts
  • any equivalent combination of education, training and experience which provides the required knowledge, skills, and abilities
