Job Description

We are looking for an experienced Director of Treasury to join our team in Brookline, Massachusetts. In this role, you will oversee an established treasury function, providing leadership and strategic direction while managing complex financial operations. This is a long-term contract position offering an exciting opportunity to contribute to a significant healthcare project, including debt financing for a new hospital construction.

Job Responsibility

  • Provide leadership and guidance to a skilled treasury team, ensuring smooth operations and strategic alignment
  • Manage banking relationships and oversee cash flow and liquidity operations to maintain financial stability
  • Lead initiatives related to debt issuance, including planning and execution
  • Prepare detailed quarterly and annual treasury reports to support organizational transparency and compliance
  • Collaborate closely with internal and external stakeholders on treasury compliance matters
  • Participate as a key member of the investment committee, contributing to strategic investment decisions
  • Maintain communication and coordination with bond rating agencies such as Moody’s and S& P
  • Monitor and track bond proceeds, ensuring accurate reporting and compliance
  • Work on complex financial projects, including raising debt for hospital construction and managing associated expenses

Requirements

  • A minimum of 10 years of experience in corporate treasury, preferably within the non-profit sector
  • At least 5 years of experience in treasury management, ideally in a healthcare or non-profit organization
  • Exceptional communication and presentation skills to effectively interact with trustees, legal teams, and investment bankers
  • Proficiency in Kyriba treasury software, as well as banking systems such as CashPro
  • Strong expertise in cash flow analysis, debt compliance, debt financing, and treasury functions
  • Ability to manage relationships with financial institutions and stakeholders while ensuring compliance and accuracy
  • Experience working with bond rating agencies and handling complex financial operations
  • Familiarity with healthcare industry financial practices is highly desirable
