The Director of Technology Innovation & Data is responsible for the operation and maintenance of all property technology systems, including computer networks and data and voice communications for Four Seasons Resort Lana’i, Sensei Lana’i, and all other Four Seasons Lana’i entities. They work closely with the Senior Director of Technology Innovation & Data to forecast future technology needs and identify opportunities for innovation to enhance operations and optimize system performance. They also ensure that corporate technology strategies and security compliance are successfully implemented, supporting overall operational excellence and continuous improvement.
Job Responsibility:
Build and maintain strong, professional relationships across all hotel departments and Home Office while modeling Four Seasons standards, integrity, and ethical conduct
Demonstrate strong leadership, interpersonal, and communication skills with the ability to collaborate across all levels of the organization, deliver presentations and reports, and foster a culture of continuous learning
Provide high-level service and technical support to hotel guests, administrative users, and internal teams in accordance with Service Level Agreements
Apply strategic thinking, sound judgment, and strong problem-solving, decision-making, and conflict-resolution skills to support operational effectiveness
Participate in corporate TID initiatives, including sharing ideas, best practices, and operational insights
Ensure 24/7 availability and operational readiness of all critical hotel systems, including PMS, call accounting, HSIA, PABX/telephony, and Food & Beverage POS systems
Oversee installation, maintenance, and support of all property technology systems, including front office, back office, sales & catering, spa, and HR applications, and maintain user procedures and hardware/system training for staff
Maintain accurate documentation of system configurations, software and hardware performance, issues, and service requirements
Establish and enforce system security, network protection, and data integrity procedures in compliance with corporate and local policies
Manage and maintain hotel network infrastructure and security, including servers, Active Directory, wired and wireless networks, firewalls, web security, failover tools, and VPN/communication systems
Administer and support collaboration and communication platforms such as Microsoft 365 and global VPN connectivity
Develop, implement, test, and monitor system backup and disaster recovery plans to ensure data protection and business continuity across all hotel systems
Requirements:
Legal work authorization in United States (unless candidate is currently in a managerial position at another Four Seasons location as they may qualify for a L-1 Visa sponsorship)
Ability to stand for extended periods, lift up to 35lbs, and push/pull as needed during shifts
Weekend and Holiday availability required
Prior experience in Technology Innovation & Data in a hotel or resort setting
Project management experience with working knowledge of hospitality technology systems, including PMS, HSIA, POS, and related applications, considered an asset
Professional certifications such as Microsoft or Cisco are desirable, with strong technical expertise in network building, troubleshooting, and support across Microsoft and Mac operating systems and applications
Demonstrated experience in business planning, resource management, and project planning within a technology or hospitality setting
