EliseAI is growing rapidly and we’re looking for a Director of Talent to build and lead the recruiting function that powers that growth. This is a high-impact role for a strategic and hands-on recruiting leader who thrives on building systems, teams, and relationships that deliver results. You’ll formalize company-wide hiring targets, optimize our recruiting processes, and develop strategies to attract top-tier talent across technical, go-to-market, strategic, and leadership roles. You’ll coach and elevate our recruiting team, partner with executives to anticipate talent needs, and bring a data-driven, creative, and market-savvy approach to how EliseAI finds and hires exceptional people.

Job Responsibility:

  • Build and scale the recruiting function: Define and execute EliseAI’s talent acquisition strategy to meet hiring goals across departments and geographies
  • Establish hiring targets and reporting: Partner with leadership to set clear headcount goals and track progress through actionable data and insights
  • Drive innovative sourcing: Implement creative sourcing strategies to reach diverse and high-caliber talent pools across technical and business functions
  • Enhance interview practices: Audit and refine hiring processes to ensure consistency, speed, and accuracy in candidate evaluation
  • Lead executive recruiting: Lead searches for senior and executive hires, developing long-term relationships with executive-level talent over time
  • Agency partnerships: Build strong, collaborative relationships with recruiting agencies to ensure high-quality delivery and alignment with EliseAI’s culture and talent standards
  • Market insight and brand alignment: Stay close to talent market trends, compensation shifts, and competitor moves
  • ensure EliseAI remains a magnet for world-class talent
  • Cross-functional collaboration: Work closely with People Operations, Finance, and leadership to align recruiting with business priorities and resource planning

Requirements:

  • 6+ years of experience in full-cycle recruiting
  • at least 3+ years in a leadership role building or scaling in-house recruiting teams in a high-growth startup environment
  • strong strategic, generalist thinking balanced with operational execution and attention to detail
  • proven success owning hiring strategy and delivery for a fast-scaling startup or SaaS company
  • deep understanding of recruiting metrics, ATS systems, and data-driven process improvement
  • demonstrated ability to lead, coach, and develop high-performing recruiting teams
  • experience personally managing executive recruiting and filling C-level openings
  • exceptional communication and relationship-building skills across all levels of the organization
  • willingness to work in person at our Manhattan office 5 days a week
