Job Description

We are looking for a highly skilled Director of Supply Chain to lead and optimize our client's supply chain operations in Memphis, Tennessee. This role involves managing all aspects of forecasting, logistics, distribution, and customer service to ensure seamless operations and exceptional service across divisions. The ideal candidate will bring strategic vision and operational expertise to drive efficiency and align supply chain processes with business goals.

Job Responsibility

  • Develop and implement accurate demand forecasting strategies to support sales and inventory objectives
  • Oversee distribution operations to ensure efficient and timely delivery of products to customers
  • Manage customer service activities, ensuring responsiveness and satisfaction across all inquiries and needs
  • Optimize logistics processes, including storage and transportation, to enhance overall supply chain efficiency
  • Lead and mentor the supply chain team, fostering growth and ensuring alignment with business objectives
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with third-party vendors to uphold service standards and cost efficiencies
  • Coordinate Sales & Operations Planning (S&OP) to integrate sales, operations, finance, and supply chain activities effectively
  • Prepare annual budgets for logistics and distribution, managing monthly performance to meet financial targets
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to address supply chain challenges and implement solutions
  • Drive strategic initiatives to adapt to business requirements, improve operations, and strengthen partnerships with supply chain stakeholders

Requirements

  • Minimum of 10 years of experience in supply chain management, logistics, or related fields
  • Expertise in supply chain logistics, global supply chain processes, and demand planning
  • Proficiency in software tools such as JDA Red Prairie and SAP
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to develop accurate forecasts and budgets
  • Proven ability to lead and develop high-performing teams
  • Experience in managing vendor relationships to achieve operational goals
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills to work effectively with cross-functional teams
  • Strategic mindset with the ability to drive initiatives that align with corporate objectives
