Job Description:

Reporting to the Managing Director Boots Ireland, the Director of Stores will be responsible for leading the c100 stores across Ireland with a retail revenue of €668m per annum, an item business of 4.45m and pharmacy services business of €10m.

Job Responsibility:

  • Leading the c100 stores across Ireland
  • Leading, inspiring, contextualising and building the capability of Area Managers and General Managers
  • Delivering exceptional customer experience, through the relentless delivery of operational standards and governance
  • Providing feedback to the support office on the commercial strategy, our execution and competitive landscape
  • Supporting to shape the Boots Ireland strategic plans, executing and delivering the store performance in line with the company P&L, encompassing revenue, gross profit and costs
  • Leading the engagement for the people agenda across the business
  • Ensuring colleagues and leaders are engaged and work collaboratively across the business
  • Role modelling and bringing to life the company vision and purpose

Requirements:

  • Extensive commercial and retail acumen and profile
  • Strong leadership skills of large scale, cross functional nationwide transformation programs from concept to delivery
  • Experience and ability to manage large budgets
  • Extensive external retail networks
  • Ability to lead the thinking strategically to build and shape the future whilst bringing a sharp focus on the in-year and future
  • Have a deep understanding of customers’ needs and expectations in varying market conditions and be able to respond their requirements whilst continuing to deliver unrivalled customer care
  • Ability to inspire and lead large teams across the organisation to maximize performance and delivery of high standards of customer care
  • Develop a culture where leaders feel empowered and engaged to deliver business results
  • Must either live or be happy to relocate to Ireland
  • Knowledge and experience in the Irish market is essential
