We are looking for an experienced Director of Social Media and Digital Engagement to lead the strategic development and execution of comprehensive social media campaigns. This role is based in Washington, District of Columbia, and focuses on engaging youth and adult audiences while driving impactful digital interactions. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in social media strategy, digital analytics, and team leadership.
Job Responsibility:
Design and implement robust social media strategies to expand and engage audiences across platforms focused on youth and adults
Oversee the creation and delivery of high-quality brand content, including video assets, to maintain consistency across social channels and campaign websites
Collaborate with analytics teams to evaluate performance metrics, optimize content strategies, and report on the effectiveness of social media initiatives
Coordinate cross-functional teams to ensure alignment and efficiency in digital engagement strategies across organizational platforms
Monitor industry trends and platform updates to identify opportunities for innovation in social media practices
Guide and mentor a team of social media professionals, fostering growth and collaboration within the team
Manage budgets and vendor relationships to support various initiatives across owned channels
Requirements:
Minimum of 7 years of experience in social media strategy and digital engagement
Proven expertise in creating and managing successful social media campaigns
Strong knowledge of digital analytics and ability to interpret performance metrics
Experience in leading and mentoring teams, promoting a collaborative work environment
Familiarity with emerging social media trends and platform innovations
Ability to manage budgets and coordinate with external vendors effectively
Exceptional communication and organizational skills
