Job Description

Provide strategic leadership and oversight of small molecule discovery program. Provide strategic leadership and oversight of small molecule discovery projects, from concept to IND submission. Candidates must have extensive pharma experience in advancing drug candidates and leading teams in medicinal or synthetic chemistry.

Job Responsibility

  • Develop and implement strategy and marketing plan for small molecule discovery services
  • Direct project management, including resource allocation, budgeting, timelines, risk assessment and troubleshooting to ensure efficient progress and successful outcomes
  • Lead and expand AI enabled drug discovery initiatives through strategic partnerships
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory guidelines
  • Actively collaborate with business development team to acquire new clients, providing support with presentations and proposals

Requirements

  • PhD in Medicinal Chemistry, Chemistry or Biochemistry
  • Extensive knowledge of medicinal and synthetic chemistry, SAR, DMPK and pharmacology
  • 10+ years leadership experience in biotech or pharmaceutical drug development
  • Demonstrated track record of successfully advancing small molecule programs to IND submissions
  • Experience interfacing with external partners including CROs
  • Excellent interpersonal, presentation and leadership skills
