As the Director of Security, you will lead all aspects of safety, loss prevention, and emergency preparedness across the hotel, ensuring the protection and well-being of our guests, employees, and assets. You will define and implement the overall security strategy, balancing robust safety measures with the refined discretion expected in an ultra-luxury environment. Partnering closely with hotel and regional leadership, you will oversee crisis management planning, compliance with local regulations, and the continuous development of a vigilant, service-oriented security team. Your leadership will be instrumental in upholding our commitment to a seamless guest experience within a safe and welcoming environment.
Job Responsibility:
Direct and oversee all security, safety, and loss prevention operations throughout the hotel
Develop and implement comprehensive emergency response, crisis management, and business continuity plans
Ensure full compliance with local security laws, fire safety codes, and regulatory requirements
Partner with local authorities and emergency services to maintain effective communication and rapid response capabilities
Monitor and evaluate risk management programs, security systems, and incident reporting to identify opportunities for improvement
Oversee the maintenance and performance of security technologies, including CCTV, access control, and alarm systems
Support the hotel’s leadership team in strategic planning, safety awareness initiatives, and staff training programs
Maintain the highest standards of professionalism, confidentiality, and discretion at all times
Requirements:
Degree or diploma in Security Management, Law Enforcement, or a related discipline
Minimum of 5 years of progressive leadership experience in hotel or resort security, with at least 3 years in a director-level role
Proven expertise in luxury or ultra-luxury hospitality environments, with an understanding of guest expectations for discretion and comfort
In-depth knowledge of national security laws, fire safety codes, and emergency procedures
Strong leadership, decision-making, and problem-solving abilities under pressure
High integrity, cultural sensitivity, and the ability to manage confidential information with discretion
Proficiency with MS Office, CCTV and access control systems, and incident management software
Flexibility to work varied shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays as operationally required
You must possess the legal right to work in Italy and have fluency in English and Italian
