EFFECTIVE DATE: ASSIGNMENT: July 1, 2026 District REPORTS TO: Assistant Superintendent for Business REQUIREMENTS: Must meet Civil Service Requirements A. Graduation from a regionally accredited or NYS registered college or university with a Bachelor’s degree or higher in food service management, dietetics, family and consumer sciences, nutrition education, culinary arts, or a closely related field and two (2) years of food service experience in an institutional setting, one (1) year of which have been in a leader capacity; OR B. Graduation from a regionally accredited or NYS registered college or university with an Associate’s degree in food related service management, dietetics, family and consumer sciences, nutrition education, culinary arts, or a closely related field and four (4) years of food service experience in an institutional setting, one (1) year of which have been in a leader capacity C. Candidate must possess a valid New York State Drivers’ License at the time of appointment and shall maintain such throughout the duration of employment in the title. Typical Work Activities: (Illustrative only) ? Directs the operation of the school lunch program for the school district; ? Services as technical advisor to the school administration in the formulation of policies, procedures and plans for the operation of the school lunch program and carries out the established policies; ? Coordinates the purchase of foods, supplies and equipment for the school district; ? Assists school district in the execution of the school lunch program budget for current long-range expenditures and advises the administration on capital outlay for equipment; ? Participate in procurement of contracted and/or BOCES school lunch services and is responsible for quality control and contractual performance; ? Establish accounting procedures and maintains records necessary for sound financial control; ? Prepares and analyzes reports relating to school lunch program activities; ? Consults with individuals and groups in the school and community and provides information which will contribute to a better understanding of the program; ? Does related work as required SALARY: $85,000 – $99,000 annually, commensurate with experience CLOSING DATE: June 5, 2026 In accordance with SAVE Legislation fingerprint supported criminal background check required for selected applicant.
