Midwest Communications, Inc in Sioux Falls, South Dakota is seeking a proven Director of Sales to lead customer relations and revenue growth in South Dakota. This is a senior leadership opportunity for a strategic, people-first sales executive who builds teams, grows business, and delivers results. As our Director of Sales, you will own the sales vision, strategy, and execution for the market. You will work closely with Market Leadership to serve advertisers, listeners, and our team members.
Job Responsibility:
Lead, inspire, and develop a high-performing sales organization focused on revenue goals
Recruit, coach, and retain sales talent to successfully assist area businesses
Create and execute a clear, measurable sales strategy aligned with opportunities and client needs
Lead accountability through goal setting, regular team meetings, and weekly one-on-one coaching
Oversee key sales processes including account management, prospecting, and pricing
Build and expand senior-level Advertiser and community relationships
participate in high-profile presentations, negotiations and community building activities
Identify and create innovative, integrated marketing opportunities that generate new and incremental revenue
Accurately forecast and plan on a weekly, monthly, quarterly, and annual basis
Serve as a thought partner to the team by contributing ideas that strengthen revenue, culture, and client success
Requirements:
Be a sales leader with a history of growing broadcast, digital and event revenue
Be able to successfully oversee the market’s sales organization, confidently and independently, without daily direct supervision
Have strong leadership presence with the ability to motivate, coach, and inspire
Have excellent communication, presentation, and relationship-building skills
Have a strategic mindset with firsthand execution capability
Have or be able to obtain a valid South Dakota Driver License and an acceptable Motor Vehicle Record Check
