At Four Seasons Astir Palace Hotel Athens, we are seeking an experienced and results-driven Director of Sales to lead our high-performing Sales team. This senior leadership role is essential in driving revenue growth, building strong client relationships, and positioning the property as a premier luxury destination across diverse market segments. You will be responsible for developing and implementing the hotel’s sales strategy, managing a team of Sales Managers, and ensuring alignment with the Commercial Plan. By proactively identifying opportunities, mentoring your team, and collaborating with key stakeholders, you will play a critical role in achieving revenue targets and strengthening the hotel’s market presence.
Job Responsibility:
Lead and manage a team of Sales Managers to achieve revenue and profitability goals
Develop and implement strategic sales initiatives aligned with the hotel’s Commercial Plan
Drive revenue growth through proactive prospecting, account management, and negotiations
Build and maintain strong relationships with key clients across leisure, corporate, groups, and government segments
Position the hotel as a premier destination in target markets
Collaborate closely with the Revenue Management and Marketing teams to ensure strategic alignment
Mentor and support the professional development of the Sales team, fostering a high-performance culture
Monitor and report on sales performance, market trends, and competitive activity
Ensure effective use of sales systems, tools, and reporting structures
Represent the hotel at trade shows, industry events, and client meetings
Requirements:
Proven leadership experience managing a Sales team, ideally within luxury hospitality
Strong background in sales strategy, account management, and business development
Bachelor’s degree in Sales, Marketing, Business Administration, or a related field
Minimum of 3 years’ experience as a Senior Sales Manager, Associate Director of Sales, or Director of Sales leading a team
Proven track record of achieving sales targets and driving revenue growth
Excellent relationship-building and communication skills
Strong leadership, negotiation, and presentation skills
Knowledge of sales management software and CRM tools
Fluency in English
Experience working with diverse market segments, with focus on leisure sales
