Job Description:

Functions as the business leader of the property's sales department for properties with bookings exceeding parameters of the Group Sales teams. Provides day to day leadership to sales associates and pulls through above-property sales channels to achieve hotel sales objectives, booking goals and property revenues. Develops strategic working relationships with sales channel leaders and interfaces with marketing teams to execute property's marketing plan.

Job Responsibility:

  • Functions as business leader of property's sales department

  • Interfaces with Regional Marketing & eCommerce team
  • Develops and implements property-wide strategies
  • Executes sales strategy and verifies booking goals are met
  • Serves as sales contact for General Manager and property leadership
  • Provides customer intelligence and market analysis
  • Researches competitor's sales team strategies
  • Participates in sales calls to acquire new business
  • Executes operational aspects of business booked
  • Develops strong partnerships with local organizations
  • Develops and manages internal stakeholder relationships
  • Coaches leaders of revenue generating departments
  • Develops sales goals and strategies
  • Forecasts talent needs and manages talent acquisition

Requirements:

  • 2-year degree from an accredited university in Business Administration, Marketing, Hotel and Restaurant Management, or related major
  • 4 years experience in sales and marketing or related professional area
  • OR 4-year bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Hotel and Restaurant Management, or related major
  • 2 years experience in sales and marketing or related professional area
  • Demonstrated skills in supervising a team
  • Lodging sales experience
  • Hotel industry work experience demonstrating progressive career growth and pattern of exceptional performance
