Director of Sales (US) | Industrial Manufacturing | Greater Boston Area (Hybrid, Travel Required). We’re partnered with a global industrial manufacturing organization to identify a Director of Sales (US) to lead and scale a national team. This is a high-impact leadership role with strong visibility to executive leadership and a clear path for long-term growth. This position offers flexibility to be based anywhere in the Greater Boston area, with limited in-office requirements and ~50% travel across the U.S.
Job Responsibility
Lead, coach, and develop a US-based sales team, including regional managers and technical specialists
Drive national sales strategy across multiple product lines within a capital equipment environment
Own pipeline management, forecasting, and CRM adoption (consultative sales approach)
Manage complex, long-cycle deals ranging from $80K to $2M+
Partner with key clients on strategic, multi-year projects and business development initiatives
Build structure, processes, and accountability within a growing, evolving team
Requirements
12–20 years of experience in sales within industrial manufacturing
3–5+ years leading a team of regional sales managers (4+ direct reports)
Strong background in capital equipment, powder, or liquid processing
Proven ability to lead remote teams and operate in a fast-changing, ambiguous environment
Strong consultative selling and CRM discipline
Nice to have
Experience selling into food, nutraceutical, or pharmaceutical industries is a plus
