Job Description

The Director of Sales Southern Europe, to be based primarily in Paris, will lead Staycity Group’s sales strategy and performance across the French, Italian and Portuguese markets, driving revenue growth through strategic account management, proactive business development, and effective team leadership. The role focuses on building long-term partnerships, developing our market strategy, and ensuring Staycity is the preferred accommodation partner for both corporate and leisure guests.

Job Responsibility

  • Develop and deliver a clear sales strategy for France, Italy and Portugal, aligned with group commercial priorities
  • Lead, coach, and develop the sales team to meet revenue and market share targets
  • Identify and secure new business across corporate, leisure, and travel trade channels
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key clients, including TMCs, relocation agents, and corporates
  • Negotiate and manage contracts to ensure profitable, long-term partnerships
  • Collaborate with Revenue, Marketing, and Operations to optimise performance and customer delivery
  • Analyse market trends and competitor activity to inform commercial decisions
  • Provide regular reporting, forecasting, and insights to senior management
  • Represent Staycity Group at industry events and trade shows

Requirements

  • 8+ years’ sales experience within hotels or serviced apartments in the French market
  • Proven track record in leading large high-performing sales teams
  • Fluency in French and English
  • Strong network within corporate and travel management sectors
  • Excellent negotiation, presentation, and stakeholder management skills
  • Commercially astute and data-driven, with strong analytical capability
  • Experience in multi-site or regional leadership
  • Familiarity with CRM and GDS platforms
