We currently have an amazing opportunity for an experienced Director of Rooms to join our team at The Four Seasons Hotel Taipei. As a key member of the hotel leadership team, you will be responsible for overseeing the Front Desk, Concierge, Housekeeping, Guest Relations, Guest Services, and Spa departments. Your role will focus on delivering the highest standards of service, ensuring both guest and employee satisfaction, and resolving any issues promptly and effectively. You will play a crucial part in the operational and strategic decisions, while fostering a positive and collaborative working environment.
Job Responsibility:
Lead and supervise the daily operations of the Front Desk, Concierge, Housekeeping, Guest Relations, Guest Services, and Spa departments
Ensure clear communication and follow-up on guest or employee requests, issues, and special requirements
Interview and train new team members, conducting regular performance reviews and fostering their professional development
Monitor staff schedules and activities, ensuring standards are met and team members are well-supported
Conduct daily inspections of all Rooms Division areas to maintain high operational standards
Resolve guest complaints promptly, providing exceptional service and ensuring a personalized guest experience
Manage financial goals, including labor expenses, supplies, and equipment costs
Work with Reservations, Sales, and Front Office teams to maximize occupancy, rates, and revenue
Support the preparation of business forecasts, annual budgets, and maintain relationships with retail tenants to meet revenue and expense targets
Develop employee programs that encourage training, growth, and career advancement within the Rooms Division
Play an active role in long-range hotel planning as part of the Planning Committee
Act promptly and effectively in emergencies to ensure the safety and wellbeing of guests and employees
Requirements:
Minimum 3-5 years of experience in a similar role, preferably in luxury hospitality
Strong leadership skills with experience in managing multiple departments and teams
Expertise in operational management, financial control, and guest relations
Ability to handle guest complaints and requests with professionalism and a commitment to excellence
Fluent in both English and Mandarin Chinese, with the ability to communicate clearly in both languages
Legal right to work in Taiwan
