Job Description

We are looking for an experienced Director of Revenue to lead revenue accounting operations and ensure accurate financial reporting in San Francisco, California. This role will oversee revenue recognition practices, strengthen controls across the revenue cycle, and partner with cross-functional teams to support compliance with ASC 606. The ideal candidate brings deep expertise in healthcare-related revenue processes, accounts receivable, and operational leadership in a complex accounting environment. Job Responsibility

  • Apply ASC 606/310 to all revenue streams (lending + subscriptions)
  • Create and maintain revenue recognition policies and processes
  • Partner with data engineering to improve revenue data structure and reporting
  • Reconcile data across systems
  • resolve discrepancies
  • Manage month-end revenue close (JEs, recs, variance analysis)
  • Support audits and ensure compliance with revenue standards
  • Maintain SOX controls over revenue to reduce risk
  • Align CECL estimates with revenue reporting (ASC 326)
  • Guide proper revenue treatment for new products
  • Lead and develop a strong technical revenue team

Requirements

  • 10+ yrs revenue accounting (Big 4 + industry)
  • Experience in high-volume fintech/e-commerce preferred
  • CPA
  • strong GAAP and ASC 606/310 expertise
  • Proven leader in fast-growth environments
  • solves complex issues
  • Managed audits and improved close processes
  • Highly organized, detail-focused, strong communicator
  • Explains complex accounting clearly to non-finance teams
