Above All Talent Solutions is partnering with a rapidly growing therapy provider that delivers innovative rehab programs to Senior Living communities. This full-time Director Of Rehabilitation role is ideal for a Physical Therapy Assistant with leadership experience, serving adult and geriatric patients in a senior living setting. In this position, you will lead an interdisciplinary rehab team and also provide direct treatment, helping patients improve mobility, strength, balance, and pain management to maximize safety, independence, and quality of life.
Job Responsibility:
Serve as the primary rehabilitation liaison to the Executive Director/Administrator, nursing/wellness leaders, and external partners
Participate in and/or lead care conferences, fall‑risk meetings, and quality committees, ensuring therapy input informs resident care and service planning
Support recruitment, selection, and onboarding of rehabilitation staff to maintain appropriate clinical coverage for the community
Ensure therapists are responding to resident needs in a timely and clinically appropriate manner, consistent with care plans and regulatory requirements
Review clinical reports and documentation related to residents receiving rehabilitation services and address any gaps or concerns
Evaluate and treat residents, as appropriate to licensure, to support program development, clinical quality, and coverage needs
Provide ongoing coaching, mentoring, and performance management for rehabilitation team members, including regular check‑ins, annual evaluations, and corrective action when needed
Identify training needs and coordinate in‑services on topics such as dementia‑friendly care, fall prevention, safe transfers, and documentation standards
Foster a collaborative and positive team culture that supports retention, engagement, professional growth, and strong communication across disciplines
Requirements:
Current, unrestricted Physical Therapist Assistant license in the state of practice (or eligibility prior to start)
Prior experience in skilled nursing, post‑acute rehab, senior living, or long‑term care strongly preferred
Demonstrated leadership abilities and comfort overseeing an interdisciplinary rehab team
Excellent communication, documentation, and collaboration skills, with a resident‑centered, outcomes‑focused approach
