The Director of Recruiting is a leadership role at Kansas State University Salina, shaping how learners discover, engage with, and ultimately choose the campus. This role leads innovative, data-informed recruitment strategies across undergraduate, graduate, and non-credit programs. The Director works closely with faculty, academic leadership, marketing, and university enrollment partners to align outreach, messaging, and learner experience with workforce demand and institutional priorities.
Job Responsibility:
Lead a dynamic unit on campus, shaping the student body through active recruitment strategies for undergraduate, graduate, and non-credit programs
Lead innovative, data-informed recruitment strategies
Work closely with faculty, academic leadership, marketing, and university enrollment partners to align outreach, messaging, and learner experience with workforce demand and institutional priorities
Requirements:
Requires a bachelor's degree and five years of relevant experience in recruitment, sales, client management, or a related field
Valid driver's license required upon hire and must be maintained
Nice to have:
Master’s Degree in Higher Education Administration or related field
Strong knowledge of best practices in recruitment, outreach, and learner engagement
Proven ability to innovate and adapt to changing student and institutional needs
Success as a collaborator with strong interpersonal skills
Demonstrated experience integrating recruitment related technologies into an active enrollment process
Familiarity with leading CRM software
Experience managing a budget
