Ability to train, evaluate, lead, motivate, coach, and discipline all employees in the Pool & Beach and restaurant to ensure that established cultural and core standards are met
daily activities and planning for Pool & Beach operation
The ability to be visible in the operation, provide recognition, strong guest engagement skills to effective develop a rapport and handle complaints, concerns or special requests for guests, clients, and group contacts
Assist with the service and preparation of beverage and food to guests and Amenities
Provide expert knowledge of wine, beer, spirits and non-alcoholic beverages and ensure quality of all food or beverage items, ingredients, and preparation methods, in an elegantly appointed environment dedicated to an attentive and distinctive experience while following and maintaining all local, state, and federal laws relating to alcohol service and consumption
Manage Cabana Program for the hotel to ensure a five-star Cabana guest experience
Manage all outdoor recreation operations in the hotel including adult pool, family pool, waters ports, and Seaway restaurant
Manage Pool Bar & restaurant Seating area
Dynamic Management style to drive creativity and innovation in Pool, Beach, and Restaurant guest experience and product development
Control labor and operating expenses through effective scheduling, budgeting, purchasing decisions, and inventory and cash control

Job Responsibility

Attend operational meetings to ensure effective coordination and cooperation between departments
Observe physical condition of facilities and equipment on a daily basis in the Pool & Beach and make recommendations for corrections and improvements as needed
Work harmoniously and professionally with co-workers and supervisors

Requirements

College diploma in Recreation, Leisure Studies, Gerontology or equivalent is required
Previous experience working with seniors
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)
Excellent oral and written communication skills
An energetic, compassionate person who enjoys working with the elderly
Valid provincial driver’s license to transport residents by van (i.e.: Class 4
Class F)
Current (within 6 months) Vulnerable Position/Sector Screening (VPS)
Experience: seniors activities: 2 years (required)
Leadership: 1 year (preferred)

Job Responsibility

Plan, organize and implement meaningful programs for the residents, in collaboration with the Executive Director
Build monthly activity calendars to match resident needs with a variety of activities regularly
Maintenance of appropriate department records including assessments, evaluations of planned programs detailing individual participation, charting
Maintains effective communication and good human relations with residents, families, volunteers and staff of other departments, keeping them informed of current and upcoming events
Attends in-service education in order to keep informed of current trends in the total care of the elderly
Participates in team meetings to plan programs with residents’ interest in mind
Facilitating residents to scheduled and pre-arranged outings
Assessment of individual resident activity levels
Preparing, carrying out and evaluating daily activities
Assisting with meal services as required
