Job Description

Responsible for leading the Radar and navigation sensor group to continue to lead in the marine market and disrupt with future products and innovation. Lead global development efforts of products, platforms and research with direct, in-direct and external engineers. Be future focused on sensor technology and integration / fusion to deliver the autonomy focus in our ACES strategy.

Job Responsibility

  • Ultimately accountable for the Radar and Positioning Sensor group technical execution and performance
  • Management and supervision of direct and indirect employees to foster a global environment
  • Leadership, career development and capability building for the group including Systems engineers, Radar Principal engineers, FPGA engineers, DSP, RF engineers, GNSS, embedded and software engineers, Quality and V&V engineers
  • Planning and designing radar and sensor systems and platforms
  • Collaborate with hardware, mechanical and software engineering leaders
  • Work closely with global product management and senior leadership team on product roadmaps, strategy and research
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to deliver these to a global audience using multimedia tools
  • With the team develop algorithms and techniques to process radar signals and extract meaningful information
  • Designing radar antennas to transmit and receive signals efficiently
  • Oversight and guidance on tests and simulations to ensure the performance and accuracy of radar systems
  • Managing the maintenance, improvements and lifecycle of radar products
  • Planning and designing positioning sensor solutions with GNSS, RTK and IMU
  • Future focused architecture and integration of sensors with cameras, lidar, radar and ultrasonic technology

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s of Engineering degree with Masters or PhD preferred with 10 years of experience
  • Knowledge of signal processing, GNSS, software and ML with an understanding of hardware and mechanical engineering
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to work with a global team/audience
  • Excellent organizational skills and interpersonal skills, including ability to resolve disputes on a global basis
  • Ability to meet deadlines

  • professionally maintain composure and effectiveness under pressure and changing conditions
  • Ability to react very quickly to new duties and situations encountered on the job
  • Ability to negotiate conflict and maintain constructive working relationships with people at all levels of an organization

  • Expert knowledge of radar systems, RF, FPGA, signal processing, GNSS, IMU, software and ML with an understanding of hardware and mechanical engineering

  • Develop financial modeling on the bottom line impacts of the portfolio sales mix of business, analyzing the data to understand and communicate key drivers
  • Lead financial modeling of future project P&Ls, analyzing past P&L performance, and projecting financial implications, including new product launches, seasonal portfolio changes, and packtype renovations
  • Support various Brand teams via the IBM (Integrated Business Management) process by representing finance in monthly meetings with cross functional partners to drive decision making to improve P&L results
  • Support Annual Plan, Long-range Strategic Plan, and forecast updates through fact based analysis and development of Brand and Seasonal P&L forecasts and targets
  • Lead the financial analysis and recommendation of 'go/no go' for projects, to the Director – Commecial Finance and Sr. Mgr – Commecial Financial and Protein, that go to SSG and PSM forums to drive financial visibility to attain goals/hurdles
  • Serve as a key Finance point of contact to varioius Brand teams to research P&L results, develop variance explanations versus forecasted projections, communicate insights, and support Brand team follow up questions
