We are seeking an experienced and strategic Director of Purchasing to lead all procurement and supply chain activities at Four Seasons Hotel Madinah. Reporting directly to the Director of Finance, you will be responsible for developing and executing purchasing strategies that ensure cost efficiency, quality assurance, and uninterrupted supply of goods and services across all hotel departments. This role is critical in supporting operational excellence while maintaining full compliance with Four Seasons standards and local regulations.
Job Responsibility:
Lead and oversee all purchasing and procurement operations, ensuring timely and cost-effective sourcing of goods and services
Develop and implement purchasing strategies, policies, and procedures aligned with hotel objectives and Four Seasons standards
Negotiate contracts, pricing, and terms with suppliers to achieve optimal value, quality, and service levels
Oversee supplier selection, evaluation, and performance management, ensuring compliance with quality, sustainability, and ethical standards
Collaborate closely with Culinary, Engineering, Housekeeping, Finance, and Operations to understand departmental needs and ensure seamless supply support
Ensure proper inventory control, stock levels, and purchasing forecasts to support operational requirements
Monitor market trends, pricing fluctuations, and supply risks to proactively mitigate procurement challenges
Ensure full compliance with internal controls, approval processes, and audit requirements
Oversee capital expenditure purchasing and support pre-opening and renovation projects as required
Lead, mentor, and develop the Purchasing team, fostering a culture of accountability and continuous improvement
Prepare and present purchasing reports, cost analyses, and savings initiatives to senior management
Ensure all purchasing activities comply with local regulations, customs requirements, and Four Seasons policies
Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Finance, or a related field preferred
Proven experience as a Director of Purchasing or senior procurement role within a luxury hotel or large hospitality operation
Strong knowledge of hotel purchasing processes, supplier negotiations, and inventory management
Excellent financial acumen with a strong focus on cost control and value optimization
Strong leadership and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to influence cross-functional teams
High level of integrity, professionalism, and attention to detail
Proficiency in procurement systems, inventory platforms, and Microsoft Office Suite
Strong analytical and reporting capabilities
Proficiency in English
