Leading Professional Membership & Standards Organisation. Home-Based with Regular UK Travel. Salary: circa £80,000 + Excellent Benefits. Permanent | Full-Time (35 hours per week). Our client is a respected professional membership organisation with a public-interest remit and a growing national profile. They are seeking a Director of Professional Standards & Accreditation to lead the development, implementation and oversight of professional standards, accreditation frameworks and quality assurance activities across their profession. This is a senior leadership role offering the opportunity to shape professional standards, influence national policy and work closely with regulators, education providers, industry stakeholders and governance bodies.

Job Responsibility

  • Lead the development and maintenance of professional competency frameworks, standards and codes of conduct
  • Oversee accreditation, assessment and quality assurance processes to ensure consistency, integrity and public confidence
  • Develop policies and procedures supporting professional registration and recognition
  • Ensure effective governance, compliance and enforcement of professional standards
  • Provide strategic leadership on professionalisation, accreditation and qualification recognition
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with regulators, government bodies, education providers and industry stakeholders

Requirements

  • Significant experience within a professional body, chartered institute, membership organisation, regulatory body or similar public-interest organisation
  • Expertise in professional standards, accreditation, assessment, quality assurance or professional registration
  • Experience developing competency frameworks, professional pathways and governance frameworks
  • Strong understanding of accreditation, qualifications, education or professional recognition systems
  • Experience engaging with senior stakeholders, regulators, boards and committees
  • Excellent leadership, communication and influencing skills
  • Strong strategic thinking and policy development capability
  • The ability to balance operational delivery with long-term organisational objectives
