Job Description

As Director of Product and Engineering, Long Stays, you will own this segment end-to-end: the strategy, the product, the technical direction and the outcomes. You will lead a small team of product builders while building yourself – writing specs, making product calls, contributing directly to what ships. Reporting to the VP of Product and Engineering, you are the single accountable owner for Long Stays as a product capability within Mews.

Job Responsibility

  • Own the Long Stays product vision, strategy and roadmap
  • Own the full resident lifecycle as a product capability
  • Drive embedded payments revenue
  • Set technical direction for the tribe
  • Lead a small team of product builders
  • Hire into the tribe
  • Represent Long Stays in leadership forums

Requirements

  • Experience in both product leadership and hands-on product building
  • Technical depth: can engage seriously with engineers on architecture and system design
  • Track record in a vertical or segment-specific product context
  • Comfort running a small team with high autonomy
  • Fluency with AI-assisted workflows
  • Strong commercial instincts
  • experience in hospitality, property management, short-term rentals, student accommodation or a similarly operationally intensive sector is a meaningful plus
