Job Description

As Director of Procurement for the Electronics category, you will lead all aspects of a globally distributed team managing $300M to $350M in spend with around 400 suppliers. Reporting to the Global AVP, Procurement, you will oversee strategic sourcing, governance, and spend management on a global scale. In this role, you will drive value creation by optimizing cost, quality and service, while leading a high performing, globally distributed team of procurement professionals.

Job Responsibility

  • Lead all aspects of strategic sourcing and spend management, including RFI/RFP execution, cost modeling, industry benchmarking, and global scenario optimization
  • Drive supplier selection and program recommendations using data driven insights, market cost intelligence, and objective scorecard methodologies
  • Develop and execute electronic category strategies aligned to delivering value across cost, quality and service throughout the supply chain
  • Develop and execute negotiation strategies for supplier agreements, ensuring strong contracts, supplier accountability and high service performance
  • Build trusted partnerships with R&D new product development and innovation teams to enable collaboration and value creation
  • Champion a continuous improvement mindset across the team, enhancing cost, quality, and service outcomes while driving measurable P&L impact
  • Model best-in-class procurement practices in supplier selection and relationship management, while developing and mentoring future procurement leaders

Requirements

  • Bachelors Degree required, strong preference for Masters Degree. CPM preferred
  • At least 10 years of relevant business experience with strong industry preference of medical device or adjacent electro-mechanical industries (i.e. automotive)
  • People management experience in the procurement function with experience leading a global team within a matrixed environment
  • Ability to communicate effectively, influence, and negotiate across the network (commercial, R&D, engineering and manufacturing) building credibility with stakeholders
  • Travel Required (Domestic primarily to suppliers or Kaizen events) - up to 15%
