Job Description

The town of Londonderry, NH seeks a visionary leader to serve as Director of Planning and Economic Development. Reporting directly to the Town Manager, the Director provides strategic direction and day-to-day management for the department, overseeing both the Planning and Building divisions.

Job Responsibility

  • Implementing land use policies, economic initiatives, Master Plan updates, and zoning regulations
  • serving as principal advisor to Town Manager, Town Council, and land use boards

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in urban planning, public administration, or a related field (master’s preferred)
  • at least five to seven years of progressively responsible municipal planning and economic development experience, including three years in a supervisory role
  • AICP certification is highly desirable
