At least two (2) years (equivalent to 4,000 hours) of experience as a licensed pharmacist in a hospital pharmacy
or an equivalent combination of training and experience
Possession of a valid Registered Pharmacist license issued by the California State Board of Pharmacy
One (1) year of recent and verifiable inpatient pharmacy experience obtained within the last five years

Job Responsibility

Provide supervision and technical/clinical direction to clinical pharmacist, staff pharmacist and pharmacy technicians in an acute care inpatient pharmacy setting
Ensure compliance with state and federal laws, regulations, and standards regarding the provision of pharmaceutical services and departmental pharmacy objectives and policies, and procedures
Provide operational oversight of the acute care clinical pharmacy program
Provide oversight of personnel assigned to work in the Inpatient Pharmacy
Assist the Director of Pharmacy with the development and implementation of strategic initiatives
Be responsible for the day-to-day operations of your assigned area
Manage, supervise, and schedule assigned personnel, including completing performance appraisals, and carrying out appropriate disciplinary actions as needed
Design, implement, and evaluate pharmaceutical services
Continuously interpret and assist in the development and implementation of departmental rules, regulations, and policies
Communicate with physicians, nurses, and other health-care professionals, as well as the general public
