Job Description

We're seeking an experienced Director of People Operations to lead our people function during a critical phase of growth. Reporting to the SVP of Finance and People Operations, you'll oversee all aspects of people operations, building scalable systems and programs that support our global team while maintaining the culture and values that make Arize special. This is a high-impact role for someone who thrives on building infrastructure, solving complex problems, and partnering closely with leadership to shape how we grow our team and organization.

Job Responsibility

  • Partner with the leadership team to develop and execute people strategy aligned with business objectives
  • Build and scale the People Operations function to support rapid company growth
  • Own key people metrics and analytics, providing insights that drive decision-making
  • Design and implement scalable HR programs, policies, and processes
  • Oversee full-cycle talent operations including onboarding, offboarding, HRIS management, and compliance
  • Lead benefits administration, compensation planning, and equity management
  • Implement and optimize HR technology stack (HRIS, ATS, performance management tools)
  • Ensure compliance with employment laws across multiple jurisdictions
  • Design programs that enhance employee engagement, retention, and development
  • Partner with leadership on organizational design and workforce planning
  • Lead performance management cycles and compensation reviews
  • Develop and execute learning and development initiatives
  • Serve as a trusted advisor to leadership on people-related matters

Requirements

  • 8+ years of progressive HR/People Operations experience, with at least 3 years in a leadership role
  • Proven track record building and scaling People Operations in high-growth tech companies (experience in early to growth stage strongly preferred)
  • Deep expertise in HR systems, compliance, benefits, and compensation
  • Strong analytical skills with experience using data to drive people strategy
  • Excellent judgment and ability to navigate ambiguity in a fast-paced environment
  • Experience managing through rapid organizational change and scaling teams
  • Bachelor's degree required

Nice to have

  • Experience in AI/ML, SaaS, or technical product companies
  • HR certification (SHRM-CP, PHR, or equivalent)
  • Experience with distributed/remote teams
  • Familiarity with equity compensation and cap table management
  • Background working closely with finance teams on people-related planning
