Job Responsibility
Executing the corporate P&C strategy whilst also crafting the local people and culture practices and programs
Providing leadership for all the People and Culture team
Overseeing all aspects of the hotel's talent acquisition, learning and development, employee engagement, performance and change management, compensation, benefits, workers compensation, union & employee relations and immigration functions
Requirements
Previous Director of HR, or a candidate with a strong Human Resources background to support GM in high visibility resort with all HR components
Experience as an HR leader in Luxury hospitality
Individual with high energy and personality that will bring extensive knowledge, creativity and flair to the P&C operations and the team
Able to evidence strong work ethic. A true role model of Evolve Leadership Behaviors, an inspirational and motivational leader with excellent emotional intelligence
Ability to develop and coach leaders for career growth and next steps while influencing operational excellence in hotel through divisional and department head performance
Ability to deliver exceptional employee experiences in the post COVID era in a market with considerable competitive supply growth
Presence in the operation will be critical to build engagement with leadership and individual contributors
Leadership skills to maintain the balance between owner, guest and employee experience
Pro-active influencer of future direction of business, vision, and purpose of the hotel

An emotionally intelligent leader able to connect with staff at all levels is essential. Key player in attracting and retaining talent
Demonstrates a commitment to DIB efforts, effectively listening for understanding and enhancing the culture
Ability to teach, coach, mentor and inspire a team which is the majority not exposed to global work environment and are new to Four Seasons management style
Experience and practice of Modern workplace considerations such as wellness, life balance and flexibility are important given the remote location of the resort
Contributes to creating best in class employee experience
Robust knowledge of people and culture practices
Passion for learning and development and its strategic application to support product and service innovation and elevation of guest experience through creative design and delivery of learning programs
Strong business acumen is essential for developing trust and support from staff and department heads
Labor management, budgeting and forecasting skills
The ability to manage through controlling operating & labor expenses without compromising employee experience
Demonstrated skills to interpret and analyze financial reports and take necessary actions
Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Hotel Management, or related fields, with additional studies in HR practices, labor relations, or labor law
Advanced proficiency in English and Spanish
Competent use of computer equipment, payroll systems, talent management platforms, and administrative tools
Strong knowledge of the Mexican labor framework, including the Federal Labor Law (LFT), IMSS, INFONAVIT, ISR, safety NOM regulations, and processes before the STPS and the Federal Center for Labor Conciliation and Registration
Experience in union management, negotiation and administration of collective bargaining agreements, salary/contract reviews, and labor conflict resolution
Understanding of the labor and regulatory environment in Mexico and the hospitality sector
Familiarity with quality and service standards in the hospitality industry
Ability to perform cost analysis, budget control, and resource optimization
High level of integrity, transparency, and ethical decision-making
Strong leadership, communication, interpersonal, and cross-cultural teamwork skills
Proficiency in problem-solving, decision-making, and conflict management
Organized, operationally disciplined, and focused on workplace safety
Experience in resorts, remote locations, or tourism environments
Ability to manage workplace climate, talent retention, change processes, and development programs
