Job Description:

Director of Patient Access for Southwest Arkansas Regional Medical Center.

Job Responsibility:

  • Assists in maximizing utilization of resources
  • Provides training, orientation, and education of department staff to assist in maintaining staff's competency and to meet changes of healthcare reimbursement
  • Assists with development and maintenance of a system to ensure timely and accurate registration and data collection
  • Responds to written and verbal inquiries or complaints from patients to ensure expedient and tactful resolutions
  • All other duties required by Senior Management

Requirements:

  • High school graduate or GED
  • Excellent computer and keyboard skills with appropriate applications
  • Ability to solve problems and to communicate effectively
  • NIMS training within (3) months
  • COAP within 3 months
  • A minimum of two (2) years hospital Patient Access, Business Services, or related experience
  • TruBridge and/or CPI experience preferred
