Job Description:

The Director of National Accounts – MRO is responsible for leading and expanding strategic partnerships with key industrial distributors including Fastenal, Grainger, McMaster-Carr, and similar accounts. This role drives revenue growth, ensures contract compliance, and delivers value-added solutions tailored to each customer’s operational needs. The ideal candidate is a relationship builder, a strategic thinker, and a results-driven professional with deep knowledge of the MRO landscape.

Job Responsibility:

  • Account Leadership: Serve as the primary point of contact for assigned national accounts, managing executive-level relationships and driving long-term growth
  • Strategic Planning: Develop and execute account plans aligned with customer goals and company objectives
  • Sales Growth: Identify and pursue new business opportunities within existing accounts
  • lead cross-functional efforts to expand product penetration
  • Contract Management: Negotiate and manage pricing agreements, rebates, and service-level commitments
  • Collaboration: Partner with internal stakeholders (Sales, Marketing, Operations, Finance) to deliver seamless customer experiences
  • Performance Tracking: Monitor KPIs, sales performance, and customer satisfaction

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, or related field
  • MBA preferred
  • 5+ years of experience in National Account Management, preferably in MRO, industrial distribution, or manufacturing
  • Proven success managing accounts such as Fastenal, Grainger, McMaster-Carr, MSC, or similar accounts
  • Strong negotiation, presentation, and analytical skills
  • Ability to travel up to 30% for customer meetings and trade events
  • Proficiency in CRM tools (e.g., Salesforce), Microsoft Office Suite, and data analysis platforms
