BVH Architecture is seeking a strategic marketing leader to guide BVH’s brand, communications, and business development strategy across Colorado and Nebraska. This is a deeply collaborative leadership position focused on driving operational excellence to achieve alignment and measurable growth. Far from a standard proposal-focused role, we are searching for a leader who will step into our collaborative, creative studio that champions empathetic leadership and a “winning together” culture. In this role, you will partner with our principals and market sector leaders, blending your strategic insight, creativity, and technical savvy to rally teams around a shared direction and elevate our market presence.
Job Responsibility:
Lead marketing and business development operations
Build consensus with market sector teams to align marketing with growth priorities
Thoughtfully evaluate markets, opportunities, and positions
Guide pursuits, proposals, and interviews
Improve pursuit outcomes through stronger positioning and alignment
Strengthen BVH’s value proposition across markets
Mentor, lead, and develop the marketing team
Build reliable systems, tools, and processes for high performance
Act as a bridge to strengthen collaboration with technical staff
Ensure excellence and consistency across all materials
Coordinate conferences, awards, and partnerships
Sustainably expand national visibility and PR presence
Develop annual plan and budget in collaboration with firm leadership
Monitor market trends and client insights to inform growth
Strengthen internal communication, awareness, and trust.
Requirements:
10–15+ years of marketing & business development experience (AEC/design preferred)
Strong strategic thinking, operational excellence and market awareness
Ability to bring people together and build alignment across leadership and staff
Excellent communication, active listening, and relationship-building skills
Passion for design, storytelling, and supportive collaboration
Experience leading marketing in an AEC/design firm
Proven success improving pursuit outcomes, creating structured processes and team coaching
Ability to translate complex ideas into clear, compelling narratives
Experience partnering with firm leadership
Leadership style that enable teams, builds deep trust, and fosters a “winning together” culture.
