Job Description

At Mixmax, our mission is to change how the world communicates. We help revenue teams build stronger relationships through email and AI-powered workflows that feel personal, scalable, and human. Thousands of sales, customer success, and recruiting teams rely on Mixmax every day to drive pipeline, close deals, and create exceptional customer experiences. We're looking for a Director of Marketing to build the next stage of Mixmax's growth. This is a highly strategic but deeply hands-on leadership role for someone who thrives at the intersection of growth marketing, demand generation, product-led growth, and customer acquisition. You'll be responsible for building and operating a scalable growth engine that drives awareness, acquisition, activation, and revenue. You'll work closely with the CEO, Product, Sales, and Customer Success teams to identify growth opportunities, improve funnel performance, and create a repeatable system for generating pipeline and self-serve growth. This role is ideal for someone who is still close to execution. You may be stepping into your first senior leadership role, moving from Director to VP, or from Head of Marketing into a broader mandate. What matters most is your ability to build, experiment, execute, and drive measurable growth outcomes.

Job Responsibility

  • Build and Scale Mixmax's Growth Engine
  • Own customer acquisition across paid, organic, lifecycle, partnerships, and product-led channels
  • Develop and execute a growth marketing strategy focused on efficient and measurable revenue growth
  • Build repeatable systems for pipeline generation and self-serve user acquisition
  • Improve conversion rates across the entire customer journey, from visitor to activated user to paying customer
  • Establish experimentation frameworks to continuously improve performance
  • Own Demand Generation and Performance Marketing
  • Drive marketing-sourced pipeline and revenue growth
  • Manage and optimize paid acquisition programs across relevant channels
  • Scale SEO, content, lifecycle, and conversion rate optimization initiatives
  • Develop attribution and reporting frameworks that connect marketing activity to revenue outcomes
  • Identify and prioritize the highest-leverage growth opportunities across the funnel
  • Partner on Product-Led Growth
  • Collaborate closely with Product to improve onboarding, activation, retention, and monetization
  • Use behavioral data and customer insights to identify growth opportunities
  • Design and execute experiments that increase product engagement and adoption
  • Help shape messaging that clearly communicates Mixmax's value to SMB revenue teams
  • Strengthen Product Marketing and Positioning
  • Refine Mixmax's positioning within the AI-powered productivity and revenue technology landscape
  • Develop messaging that differentiates Mixmax in an increasingly crowded market
  • Support product launches, feature adoption, and sales enablement initiatives
  • Create compelling narratives around how modern revenue teams work with AI
  • Lead a Lean, High-Impact Marketing Function
  • Manage and mentor a small but talented marketing team
  • Establish accountability around growth metrics and business outcomes
  • Balance strategy with execution, stepping in as an individual contributor when needed
  • Help identify future hiring needs and scale the function thoughtfully as the company grows
  • Foster a culture of experimentation, speed, ownership, and continuous learning

Requirements

  • You have experience driving growth and demand generation at a B2B SaaS company
  • You have a strong understanding of performance marketing, conversion optimization, lifecycle marketing, and acquisition channels
  • You've owned measurable growth metrics such as pipeline, activation, revenue, CAC efficiency, conversion rates, or customer acquisition
  • You're highly analytical and comfortable working with funnel data, attribution, experimentation, and reporting
  • You know how to prioritize effectively and focus on the highest-leverage opportunities
  • You enjoy rolling up your sleeves and executing, not just managing
  • You're comfortable operating in a lean environment where resources are limited but impact is high
  • You can partner effectively with Product, Sales, and Customer Success teams
  • You have experience mentoring others and leading through influence, whether or not you've managed a large team
  • You're excited by startup environments and taking ownership of outcomes

Nice to have

  • Experience marketing AI-native products
  • Experience selling into SMB revenue teams
  • Strong product marketing fundamentals
  • Experience with modern GTM tooling and outbound workflows
  • Experience managing remote teams

What we offer

  • Fully remote culture with flexible working hours
  • Competitive salary and equity package
  • Opportunity to shape the future of AI-powered communication
  • High ownership and direct impact on company growth
  • Small, ambitious, and highly collaborative team
  • A product loved by thousands of users around the world
