Biocomposites is an international medical devices company that engineers, manufactures and markets world leading products for use in infection management in bone and soft tissue. Based in Keele, UK, it has global operations across Europe, South America, USA, Canada, China and India. In January 2026 Biocomposites was named as one of the UK’s 100 fastest growing technology companies by The Sunday Times. Biocomposites, Inc. is its Wilmington, North Carolina based subsidiary that supports Biocomposites activities in the Americas. In the US, there are around 1.6m people who have a diabetic foot infection, with a 5.6 times higher chance of requiring an amputation. Studies further indicate that following a major amputation 50% of amputees will only survive for a further 2 years. As part of its ongoing investment into R & D, Biocomposites has commenced a phase III clinical study for a new drug that will transform the way healthcare professionals treat diabetic foot osteomyelitis. A team is being assembled to prepare for the launch of this new drug (followed by additional new drugs) into the US healthcare market. The Director of Market Access will play a mission-critical role in shaping and executing all U.S. market access activities required for a successful launch and sustained post-launch uptake.
