Job Description

We are looking for an experienced Director of Manufacturing to lead production operations and shape a high-performing, people-centered manufacturing organization. This role is responsible for driving consistent execution across the plant, strengthening operational standards, and building the capacity needed to support growth. The ideal candidate brings strong leadership judgment, hands-on manufacturing expertise, and the ability to align teams around safety, quality, and efficient output.

Job Responsibility

  • Direct daily manufacturing activities to achieve production targets while maintaining strong standards for safety, quality, and operational efficiency
  • Set measurable expectations across production areas and reinforce accountability through consistent performance management and process discipline
  • Develop workforce plans that support current output requirements and future expansion, including staffing, team development, and labor allocation
  • Stay closely connected to frontline operations to identify barriers, support supervisors, and improve overall team effectiveness
  • Create and refine manufacturing workflows, work center structures, and production plans to improve throughput and reduce inefficiencies
  • Address operational issues quickly by evaluating risks, making informed decisions, and implementing practical corrective actions
  • Collaborate with engineering, supply chain, vendors, and business leaders to coordinate priorities and ensure smooth execution across functions
  • Use subject matter expertise from internal and external partners to strengthen processes, resolve gaps, and improve manufacturing outcomes
  • Promote continuous improvement initiatives grounded in lean manufacturing principles, safe operating practices, and sustainable cost performance

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in manufacturing, engineering, project management, supply chain, business, communications, or a related field
  • At least 7 years of leadership experience in manufacturing, production management, project management, or supply chain operations
  • Demonstrated success leading large teams in a production environment and improving operational performance through strong managerial oversight
  • Working knowledge of manufacturing processes, production planning, inventory flow, logistics execution, and lead-time management
  • Experience applying lean manufacturing methods and continuous improvement practices to increase efficiency and reduce waste
  • Familiarity with compliance, regulatory expectations, and safety standards within a manufacturing setting
  • Ability to manage vendor relationships, coordinate deliverables, and communicate effectively with internal stakeholders and customers

Experience with ERP or operations systems such as Microsoft Dynamics 365 Finance & Operations
