Job Description:

We are looking for an experienced Director of International Tax to lead and manage global tax compliance and strategy initiatives. This role requires a strong understanding of international tax regulations, transfer pricing, and corporate tax compliance. Based in Dallas, Texas, you will play a critical role in ensuring tax compliance across jurisdictions while driving strategic planning and process improvements.

Job Responsibility:

  • Oversee and coordinate global tax compliance, including federal, state, and local income tax filings, as well as international tax returns
  • Manage indirect tax compliance across global jurisdictions, including transaction-based taxes
  • Review and address international tax matters such as permanent establishment risks, withholding taxes, and cross-border transactions
  • Monitor changes in global tax laws and regulations, assessing their impact on the business
  • Collaborate with external tax experts and legal teams to design and maintain a defensible global transfer pricing strategy
  • Supervise transfer pricing documentation, intercompany agreements, and compliance across multiple jurisdictions
  • Provide support for audits, inquiries, and negotiations related to transfer pricing issues
  • Partner with finance, legal, and business leaders to implement tax planning initiatives and mitigate risks
  • Drive process improvements and system enhancements to ensure robust controls and operational efficiency
  • Mentor and develop internal tax team members, fostering growth and collaboration

Requirements:

  • Extensive knowledge of annual income tax provision processes and corporate tax compliance
  • Proficiency in utilizing tax software such as ATX for compliance and reporting
  • Strong understanding of corporate income tax regulations across multiple jurisdictions
  • Experience managing transfer pricing strategies and documentation
  • Ability to monitor and interpret changes in international tax laws and assess their impact on business operations
  • Excellent leadership and communication skills to build cross-functional partnerships and provide executive-level updates
  • Proven track record in supporting audits and inquiries related to tax matters

  • Work on multiple complex issues while communicating in a non-technical manner to facilitate communications between the client and the engagement team while managing risk for both the client and the firm
  • Assist Audit Team with US GAAP tax reporting for clients with international subsidiaries and business operations
  • Manage and direct international tax planning and compliance engagements to ensure tasks are assigned and completed on a timely basis
  • Team with partners, principals and managers on proposals and business development meetings
  • Manage, develop, train and mentor seniors/staff on international tax matters and assess performance for project responsibilities and year-end reviews
