Job Description
The Director of Insider Threat and Investigative Intelligence is a global senior leadership role under the Citi Security and Investigative Services (CSIS) Intelligence Anchor. This position reports directly to the CSIS Intelligence Managing Director and is mainly responsible for the strategy, operations, and oversight of the CSIS Investigative Intelligence and Insider threat programs, effectively driving threat mitigation efforts across Citi. This position also oversees governance related activities across all CSIS Intelligence programs.
Job Responsibility
Define and execute the strategic vision for the CSIS Intelligence Investigative Intelligence, Insider Threat, and Governance programs aligned to organizational risk tolerance and business objectives
Oversee planning and production for investigative intelligence and insider threat analysis, providing strategic guidance on scope, methodology, and outcomes
Design, mature, and sustain an enterprise insider threat program, including detection, triage, response, and mitigation capabilities
Position CSIS as a co-owner of Citi's Insider Threat Steering Committee, by co-leading Citi's Insider Threat Coordination program, and serving as a trusted advisor to senior leadership, legal, HR, compliance, risk, cyber, and other partners
Contribute to enterprise governance, risk management, and control frameworks related to all CSIS intelligence operations
Requirements
15+ years experience leading investigative, intelligence, or insider threat functions within a corporate, government, or regulated environment
Demonstrated expertise in conducting and overseeing complex investigations and delivering meaningful post-investigation analysis
Proven experience designing, implementing, or maturing insider threat detection and mitigation programs
Strong ability to synthesize complex and sensitive information into actionable mitigation strategies and executive-level communications
Experience engaging senior stakeholders and influencing outcomes through collaboration and credible risk-based insights
Demonstrated success in building high-performing, multidisciplinary teams
Bachelor's degree/University degree or equivalent experience
Nice to have
Exposure to or formal training in the intelligence cycle, including collection, analysis, dissemination, and feedback
Experience with governance, risk, and control responsibilities in security, compliance, or enterprise risk environments
Prior participation in industry peer groups or intelligence-sharing organizations for benchmarking and best-practice adoption
Advanced degree or relevant certifications in intelligence, investigations, security, risk management, or a related field
