Job Description

We are looking for a skilled Director of Infrastructure to lead and manage global IT operations for our organization. Based in Mentor, Ohio, this long-term contract position offers an exciting opportunity to oversee enterprise-level projects, shape cloud strategies, and drive innovative solutions aligned with business goals. As a key leader, you will manage budgets, develop teams, and ensure operational excellence across a wide range of infrastructure systems.

Job Responsibility

  • Lead and manage a global IT team, including direct and matrixed staff, to ensure effective operations and collaboration
  • Oversee large-scale enterprise IT infrastructure projects, ensuring timely delivery within scope and budget
  • Develop and implement global cloud strategies, policies, service-level agreements, and operational standards
  • Manage capital budgets ranging from $2–5M and operational budgets exceeding $7–10M
  • Align infrastructure and operations strategy with overall organizational goals and drive IT initiatives
  • Evaluate, recommend, and implement cloud technologies to enhance operational efficiency and scalability
  • Create and execute career development plans, training programs, and succession planning for IT team members
  • Supervise vendor relationships and licensing agreements to optimize costs and ensure compliance
  • Ensure the successful adoption and integration of cloud DevOps practices into the organization

Requirements

  • A minimum of 15 years of experience managing technical IT teams with a focus on Microsoft infrastructure and operations
  • At least 5 years of hands-on experience with Microsoft Cloud technologies, including servers, OS, storage, and virtualization
  • Demonstrated ability to deliver complex global IT projects with precision and efficiency
  • Proven expertise in managing budgets exceeding $5M
  • Strong leadership skills with a track record of developing high-performing teams
  • Familiarity with Active Directory, backup technologies, Cisco systems, and configuration management tools
