Job Description

Robert Half is seeking a Director of Information Technology on behalf of our client near Waupaca, WI. This executive leadership role is responsible for defining and executing the organization's technology strategy while ensuring IT serves as a key driver of business growth, operational excellence, and innovation. The Director of IT will lead technology initiatives across enterprise applications, infrastructure, cybersecurity, data and analytics, and digital transformation efforts. This individual will partner closely with executive leadership to align technology investments with business objectives and deliver measurable value across the organization.

Job Responsibility

  • Develop and execute the organization's IT strategy and technology roadmap
  • Partner with executive leadership and business stakeholders to identify opportunities for technology-driven business improvements
  • Lead enterprise application, infrastructure, cybersecurity, and data initiatives
  • Drive digital transformation efforts, including automation, analytics, reporting, and emerging technologies
  • Establish IT governance, policies, standards, and best practices
  • Oversee cybersecurity, risk management, business continuity, and disaster recovery programs
  • Lead and develop a high-performing IT organization, including hiring, mentoring, and succession planning
  • Manage technology budgets, vendor relationships, and strategic technology investments
  • Prioritize and oversee the delivery of technology projects and initiatives across the organization
  • Monitor technology performance, service delivery, and business outcomes to ensure alignment with organizational goals

Requirements

  • 10+ years of progressive IT leadership experience, including experience leading technology teams and enterprise-wide initiatives
  • Experience developing and executing technology strategy in partnership with executive leadership
  • Background supporting enterprise business systems, ERP platforms, or other large-scale business applications
  • Experience leading digital transformation, process improvement, or business technology initiatives
  • Knowledge of cybersecurity principles, governance, and risk management practices
  • Experience managing technology budgets, vendors, and strategic investments
  • Strong leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills
  • Ability to translate business objectives into practical technology solutions

Nice to have

  • Experience leading organizations through ERP implementations, upgrades, or modernization efforts
  • Experience with data analytics, business intelligence, AI, or automation initiatives
