Job Responsibility

  • Lead the planning, development, and execution of human resources strategies aligned with organizational goals and service line needs
  • Partner with executive and senior leadership on workforce planning, succession planning, organizational development, and change management initiatives
  • Serve as a trusted advisor on employee relations, performance management, disciplinary actions, and terminations
  • Participate in organizational committees and quality initiatives as assigned
  • Oversee daily HR operations to ensure consistent, effective service delivery across all programs and departments
  • Supervise HR staff, including hiring, training, performance management, and professional development
  • Develop, review, and update HR policies, procedures, handbooks, and job descriptions to ensure compliance and consistency
  • Ensure accurate maintenance of employee records, HR documentation, and HRIS systems
  • Direct recruitment, onboarding, retention, and workforce planning strategies for all positions
  • Partner with department leaders to assess staffing needs and competency requirements
  • Oversee applicant tracking systems, job postings, interviews, reference checks, and employment eligibility verification
  • Promote a positive, respectful workplace culture by addressing employee concerns promptly and professionally
  • Conduct or oversee investigations related to employee relations, grievances, and policy violations
  • Support performance management processes, including evaluations, corrective actions, and improvement plans
  • Lead employee engagement, recognition, and morale-building initiatives
  • Oversee compensation structures, salary benchmarking, and pay-for-performance initiatives
  • Administer employee benefits programs, including health, retirement, leave, and wellness offerings
  • Coordinate annual open enrollment and serve as liaison with benefit vendors
  • Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws (FLSA, ADA, FMLA, OSHA, EEOC, Joint Commission, and related standards)
  • Oversee workers’ compensation, unemployment claims, audits, and regulatory reporting
  • Support leadership and staff development through training programs, coaching, and professional development initiatives
  • Facilitate or coordinate HR-related training, including supervisory skills, compliance, and performance management

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field (Master’s degree preferred)
  • Minimum of five (5) to ten (10) years of progressive HR experience, including leadership responsibility
  • SHRM Certified Professional (SHRM-CP) required
  • SHRM-SCP preferred
  • Thorough knowledge of employment law, HR best practices, and healthcare or nonprofit environments
  • Strong leadership, communication, interpersonal, and conflict-resolution skills
  • High level of integrity, professionalism, and discretion
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office and HRIS platforms
  • Valid driver’s license, reliable transportation, and willingness to travel throughout the service area
