We are looking for a Director of Human Resources who brings insight, creativity and true authenticity, a leader excited to help us evolve and strengthen a culture that is boldly and fearlessly our own. As Director of Human Resources, you lead the People & Culture vision of the Renaissance Amsterdam Hotel. You create an environment where our ambassadors feel inspired, supported and empowered to thrive. Acting as a strategic partner to the leadership team, you drive our culture, shape the full employee journey and ensure our HR operations are future-ready, compliant and aligned with our authentically different identity.
Job Responsibility:
Work closely with the HR team to create a supportive, efficient and well-coordinated HR operation
Actively bring our Mission, Vision and Values to life by embedding them into daily people practices, leadership behaviors and decision-making
Work closely with the General Manager and leadership team to align people priorities with business goals
Champion Learning & Development across the hotel, creating clear pathways for growth, performance and long-term talent development
Oversee recruitment strategies, onboarding and talent retention, building a strong pipeline of passionate hospitality professionals
Safeguard compliance by staying current with Dutch labour law, CAO guidelines and internal policies
Offer guidance in employee relations matters, acting with fairness, empathy and discretion
Requirements:
Bachelor degree in Hospitality Management, Business Administration or Human Resources Management
Previous experience in a leadership role in HR
Strong communication and stakeholder management skills
Can work independently, have excellent time management skills and a high sense of responsibility
Can communicate fluently in Dutch and English
Eligible to work in the Netherlands
