We are partnering with a well-established, highly respected professional services firm in the Chicago area to identify a Director of Human Resources. This individual will play a critical role in overseeing day-to-day HR operations while partnering closely with leadership on key people initiatives. This is a hands-on, highly visible role ideal for someone who enjoys being involved in both strategic planning and the execution of core HR functions.
Job Responsibility
Lead all aspects of HR including employee relations, performance management, recruiting, and compliance
Partner with leadership to support organizational growth and workforce planning
Oversee compensation, benefits, and annual review cycles
Manage and mentor a team of administrative staff
Play an active role in recruiting efforts across the organization, including collaboration with hiring committees
Drive HR reporting, metrics, and process improvements to support decision-making
Requirements
10+ years of HR leadership experience within professional services (legal preferred)
Strong generalist background with experience across the full HR lifecycle
Proven ability to operate in a hands-on, fast-paced environment with multiple priorities
Experience managing or supporting administrative or professional staff populations
Strong interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to work across all levels of an organization
Comfortable navigating sensitive situations with discretion and professionalism
