We are seeking an experienced and highly organized Director of Housekeeping to lead the housekeeping operations at Four Seasons Hotel Madinah. Reporting directly to the Director of Rooms, you will be responsible for overseeing the housekeeping team and ensuring that all guest rooms, public areas, and back-of-house areas are maintained to the highest standards of cleanliness, comfort, and safety. Your leadership will be critical in providing a welcoming, clean, and well-maintained environment for both guests and staff.
Job Responsibility:
Oversee and manage all housekeeping operations, including guest room cleaning, public area maintenance, and laundry services, ensuring that Four Seasons’ high standards are consistently met
Lead, mentor, and develop a team of housekeeping staff, ensuring they are trained, motivated, and equipped to deliver exceptional service
Implement and enforce housekeeping policies and procedures, ensuring operational efficiency, consistency, and high-quality service standards
Monitor and maintain the cleanliness and upkeep of guest rooms, corridors, public areas, and back-of-house facilities, ensuring they meet Four Seasons’ standards for quality and safety
Manage inventory control for cleaning supplies, linens, and housekeeping equipment, ensuring that stock levels are sufficient and well-organized
Develop and manage the housekeeping department's budget, ensuring that costs are controlled while maintaining high service levels
Oversee the scheduling of housekeeping staff, ensuring adequate coverage and effective shift management to meet operational needs
Handle guest feedback, ensuring any concerns related to cleanliness or service are addressed promptly and professionally
Ensure compliance with health, safety, and hygiene standards, including implementing cleaning protocols to ensure a safe and hygienic environment for both guests and staff
Collaborate with the Rooms Division and other hotel departments, ensuring seamless communication and coordination for guest requests and operational needs
Assist with special projects or renovations related to housekeeping services, ensuring that guest rooms and public areas are prepared and maintained to Four Seasons’ standards
Prepare and present regular reports on housekeeping operations, tracking performance metrics, and identifying areas for improvement
Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree in Hospitality Management or a related field from a recognized institution
Proven experience as a Director of Housekeeping or in a similar senior management role within a luxury hotel or large-scale hospitality environment
Strong leadership, management, and team development skills, with the ability to inspire and lead a diverse team
In-depth knowledge of housekeeping operations, including cleaning protocols, inventory management, and cost control
Excellent organizational and time-management skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently
Strong attention to detail and the ability to maintain high standards of cleanliness and operational efficiency
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with other hotel departments and guests
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
knowledge of housekeeping management systems is a plus
Proficiency in English
Arabic language skills are a plus
Suitable candidates must be eligible to work in Saudi Arabia
